The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave. If a holiday occurs on the meeting date, the Council meets on the following evening. Council meetings are televised on Government Channel 180 and are also available for online viewing.

TRIAD has two objectives; reducing crime against seniors, and reducing the unwarranted fear of crime that the elderly often experience. This is accomplished by providing education to seniors about personal safety issues, addressing crime trends that target seniors, and listening to and acting on the concerns of seniors. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office implemented a TRIAD program in 2016. Throughout the year, Commander John Grant and Detective Tom Hooper have given over 20 presentations to seniors throughout Dakota County. While doing so, they’ve had the pleasure of meeting many great seniors and administrators.

This one-time class, offered on alternating Wednesdays starting May 3, is for any climber looking to improve their rock climbing technique. Class covers all necessary skills for top rope belay certification. We will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of climbers and then work on footwork, balance, hand placement and technique. Other topics are communication, mental focus, goal setting, orientation to different types of climbing and competition formats. It is open to all skill levels.

Join researchers from the North Central Bird Observatory for an up-close and personal look at local and migrant wild birds. In this ongoing research project, the public will observe the capture of birds using mist nets and the collection of data including placing identifying bands on the birds. Birds are then released back into the wild. It’s a great way for families to learn about the science of bird banding. Event will take place rain or shine.
