Winter parking restrictions in effect November 1-April 1

No parking sign

The City of Lakeville's winter parking ordinance is designed to help promote public safety and allow for efficient snow removal. The ordinance prohibits on-street parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. daily from November 1 to April 1 each year. On-street parking is also prohibited when it's snowing, until the street has been cleared.

The entire ordinance reads:

Lakeville Ordinance 6-1-1-3 (B)
No owner of a motor vehicle, trailer, boat, snowmobile, or seasonal vehicle shall leave, park, or permit the same to stand on a street or alley between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. between November 1 and April 1 of each year, or at any other time when the National Weather Service forecast accumulation is two (2) or more inches of snow, until the street or alley has been plowed. Residences without an established driveway, to include new construction, are exempt from winter parking restrictions.
