Coming home from war is not easy. When combat veterans return to their communities, they face the challenges of putting their lives back together. Veterans are confronted with reconnecting with family and peers and reentering the workforce. Lakeville has more than 100 active duty service men and women representing all branches of the service, many of whom are currently deployed.

The Lakeville Yellow Ribbon campaign recognizes that the struggles of re-integrating to life back at home can be eased when veterans return to a community that honors and supports them.

The mission of the Lakeville Yellow Ribbon campaign is to help bring our veterans ALL THE WAY HOME by:

  • Recognizing and honoring our local veterans and their families.
  • Creating a city pathway to veteran and family support resources.
  • Building partnerships with and offer opportunities for those who want to assist veterans and their families.
  • Providing resources and awareness of veteran issues to the community.
  • Helping to strengthen and build support for local organizations and programs that honor veterans.
